1. The Wikipage was easy to use. All the steps were easy to do, because they give you what to do. The direction of the project was to make a presentation on a wikipage, which wasn't hard at all. It didn't take a long time to make a wikipage because all the steps were easy to follow. But It did take a few hours to complete. Doing the assignment took a few min., but looking for the information took a while, because you had to find and look up the information you wanted to search for.
2.The quality of leadership I feel is the strongest is being Committed, because you should be able to be committed to something, like a goal that you want to accomplish and be successful at.Being committed to something is very important because you can't do something and not be committed to it, you have to stick what you are good at. I think the quality I feel I need to improve upon is being dependable, because I have to be capable of being depended on and being reliable. I do agree with the overall list of qualities a leader should have because I think everyone should be a leader in some position and you have to face consequences to being a leader.
3. The areas that we covered in the course this semester that I enjoyed was learning about Reality television, because it explains a lot of why people like to watch the shows they watch. And what makes it so interesting to them, and what grabs the watcher's attention, and the other area's were Cyber Bullying, Stereotypes, and Social Media.. The areas that I would have liked greater information about is music, because I want to know more about music and the history of it. The area that I would have wished to seen covered was music culture. My overall impression of this course is learning more about things going on around the world, not just little things and moving on to the next section.

Lyrics that Talk to You
Man,
The moment I been waiting on
And my soul is over flowing
With anxieties and expectations
I'm full of desires
I just want it so bad
You know
And it just seem so real
2. I find the song, On the Ocean by K-Jon compelling to me because, it explains who I am really am. And who I'm living for and that's God. It explains what I've want in life, and looking forward to in the Future.
3. Listening to On the Ocean gives me goosebumps, because the melody and the lyrics is like a supernatural feeling. Every time I listen to this song, I just feel like dancing. These lyrics relate to life and It really does feel like everything is passing me by whenever I listen to it. This song describes a lot, because the lyrics are so strong that it lifts everything off my shoulders. When I'm down or don't feel like being bothered, this is one of the songs that I can listen to all day and don't get tired of it.
4. I think music is able to appeal to many people because some of the songs relate to people and what they are going through. Some songs talk about love, relationships, hardships, life, and etc Lyrics can explain a lot about a person and sometimes help you get through something that you are going through. I think music has a strong influence in people's live, because some people look up to music to get through situations.

South African Newspaper:

Astral Foods profit up 31%
Chinese consortium to up its stake in Gold One
From the Detroit paper, I found "Robert Bobb tells cancer fight, regrets about DPS" headline, I found this most interesting because why would Robert finally come clean about his cancer fight, why did he tell the world that he had cancer and was fighting it?
From the Israel paper, I found "Railway workers union leaders released from prison" headline and It caught my eye. I found this most interesting because why would the railway workers leaders be released from prison, what happen to them that made them be released?
From the India paper, I found "The day Mamata posed as lover to fool cops" headline most interesting, because why would Mamata posed as a lover to fool the cops?
From the Cuba paper, I found "Alarcon calls on the revolutionary press to unite effortsa"headline most interesting, because why would Alarcon call on the revolutionary press to unite effortsa, what made him do that?
From the Czech paper, I found "Not your typical Prague market" headline most interesting, because why would they call the headline not your typical prague market, what makes this so bad and make the headline stand out?
From the Russia paper, I found "Two Nationalist Jailed for Murdering Lawyer" headline most interesting because, why would two Nationalist want to murder this lawyer, why did they do it?
From the South African paper, i found "Walmart offers Voluntary conditions in Massmart takeover" headline most interesting because why would Walmart offer voluntary conditions in massmart and want them to takeover?
In the Israel paper, I found the most interesting headline, "Railway workers union leaders released from prison". This article caught my eye and made me curious about why the railway workers union leaders were released from prison and why? Well, I found that the reason why they were released is because there was a strike among the railway workers that were arrested after putting up a demonstration outside the house of Israel.
In the Russia paper, I found the "Two Nationalists jailed for murdering lawyer" headline most interesting because the headline caught my eye, and I was wondering why two nationalists were arrested for murdering a lawyer, and why they had to do it. I looked through the paper and I found the reason why they went to jail is because for the brazen day light killing of human rights.
In the Czech paper, I found the "Not your typical Prague Market"headline, very interesting. Because I wanted to know what they mean't by not your typical Prague market. My question is, what are they talking about, and what do they mean by not your typical market. I searched and found out that the craft market will feature about a dozen different stands with handmade goods to decorate homes and gardens as well as wardrobe.

The Big Six
When we did this activity on Tuesday, I had no idea which companies went with what. My predictions for "The Big Six" wasn't that close, some were and some weren't. But I was surprised at the fact that a lot of people watch these companies, and continue to watch them and the companies get so many views. I think that's probably why they have a lot of control over the media. But I was really surprised by the actual companies included in The Big Six because, I never knew the names of these companies and who made them, until now.. I think the thing that makes these companies, are the people around the world because of it being world wide, it has so many hits and views. I think the reason why people made these companies is because to make the media more noticeable. And advertising has to do with part of it too. I think the advantages of having six major companies in control of the media is being encourage by people that watch these companies. I do believe the disadvantages of having six major companies in control of the media is influencing people and doing the wrong things and having to deal with the companies taking over the media. The thing that stands out to me in this activity is that people like and watch a lot of stuff. And more and more is adding to it. The other thing that stands out is that there are a lot of people viewing these shows that the companies made. I think the Big Six is most memorable in this activity because I had to figure out which of the companies made what, and that was pretty difficult. I do believe that the Big Six have a lot of control over the media, because of what to show and who's watching.
2. The only thing that I can think of the way companies are finding out information about the likes and dislikes of teens is that they are going around and video taping teens and watching them and finding out what their likes and dislikes are. The thing that surprised me about this is that the companies turn it into a show and make it seem like reality. The thing I don't get is why they do things like that. I don't feel that this is right because whatever those teens are doing they are giving ideas out to people and other people are going to be influenced by them and going to start acting the way they act. I do agree with what the video said, that the real world "media is only a mirror", I agree because what is happening on TV is what's happening in real life. People are being influenced by it.

The Destensitizing of America-Violence on TV
1. TV is a big thing in life, it's the most important part of a child's life. It's entertaining, funny, and classic. But I do believe that violence on tv will effect the child, especially when they have broken homes. Children who spend their after school time alone because parents work, will find themselves learning behaviors not from their parents but from television. I feel as though that the behavior of the child does come from bad schools too. Children who view shows in which violence is very realistic, frequently repeated or left unpunished are more likely to imitate what they see. Some of the most objectionable shows are cartoon's and other children shows. Cartoons can be violent too, not just like any other violent program. I think if you sit a kid in front of a tv and let them watch whatever, is a bad parent or guardian. The cartoon shows are the ones that portray violence "unrealistically" without consequences or punishment. I feel as though if you show a young kid somebody being run over and they pop back up with a harm, is a problem. I would recommend the parents to limit their child's exposure to these negative influences, because they are going to end up doing these violent things to people. Violence is an effective promotional device. And a strong influence to kids. Kids have no other way to react to violence only just to imitate it.
2. Promos have only a very time to show something interesting enough to attract the viewer. The easiest things to feature are those that require little explanation like violence and sex. Even promotions for situation comedies feature what little action may actually be in the show. The viewers get a wrong impression of the show and want to watch it more. Violent promos frequently are run during programs geared for children or on completely non-violent shows.

Is Mainstream News Dead?
I do feel that television news is dead because no one really watch television news anymore at my age. News has now become accessible anywhere. As of, television, the internet, your cell phone, iPods and any number of technologies. We have grown less dependent on just television news and have a greater ability of trusted sources. I do believe that some daily news programs are worth watching. Some news programs don't be concerned with covering everything, every minute something happens. I do feel that people would rather watch the news on the internet, or get some information off of twitter than just watching the daily news on television. And just finding something bad happening to someone, which no one wants to hear. But I do feel that the Mainstream news is dead, because overall, people would rather go on the internet than just sit and watch a 24 hour news report about someone doing something or complaining about something. I think some people choose to watch Comedy Central and get a laugh out than just watching a 24 hour daily news that don't seem to interest people.
I think the Comedy news shows, the Daily Show are so popular with the younger generation because, they sometimes make a joke out of things, and it gets more interesting daily for the younger generation. I do feel that this is a quality way to obtain news information because it seems to draw the biggest attention to this lack of faith in mainstream media.

Visual Literacy
The Washingtonian Magazine: The Washingtonian Magazine created this image. A technique that is used in photo shop. It looks like they just copied and paste him onto a black background, and contrast the photo to make it look darker than it was.The color, lightning, and angle affect the impact of the image by adding a black background to it's picture and editing the image to fit the background. The appears largest in this picture is Obama, having on swim trunks. It looks like he was going for a swim. I think this image influence the interpretation by how the image looks to other people, and why did they copy and paste him onto this background that doesn't look right. The thing that's included in this picture is Obama, and I think that a brighter background is missing from this image.I don't think that this image create an emotional reaction.I don't believe that this image appear truthful, it's like they just copied and paste it, and wanted to be done with it.
In Britney's Magazine: It looks like whoever created this image used photo shop to change the images on the background, and used one of the techniques in photo shop to change how she looks. I think one of the techniques they did in this photo is making her skin lighter than it is, and air brush it to make it not look like how she looked before, and made her skin look softer. Looks like they changed the background to make it not look professional and re sized her body to fit the magazine image. The color, lightning, and angle affects the image by Britney not looking like herself, she looks like someone else.I think the thing that appears the largest in this photo is the customized cartoons that they copy and pasted on the background. In this picture, there are different pictures of Britney doing different things in this image. I think the thing that is missing in this image is that they should have sharpened the picture more and make it look more like her.I don't think that this picture creates an emotional reaction.I don't believe that this image is truthful.
The Go Magazine: I think the person that created this image wanted him to be bigger than he is and skinner. The techniques that was used in this image was that making his head look bigger than his body, and softening his skin up.The color, lightning, and angle affect how this image looks because if it wasn't just an plain image with no techniques or nothing, then this image would look plain.I think the thing that appears the largest in this image is his head. It looks like they made his head look bigger, but his head doesn't fit his body.I think the thing that is included in this picture is the color of his clothes and the background color, to fit how the image looks.I don't feel that this image creates an emotional reaction.I don't believe that this image appears truthful.
I feel that it is important for indivduals to be aware and learn about the visual manipulation. Some people judge how people look on magazines because sometimes they look at the person that's on the magazine and imagine themselves looking the same as them. I feel as though if people wouldn't put fake images on a magazine to make them not look like themselves, then they would have people doing the same.

Brick Walls
My Mom, Dad, and Grandma are my essentials critic to keeping me on course. They taught me to not be afraid of what I want to do in life. When it comes to a point in life that I don't want to be bothered with or just mess up on something that was really important, they've always told me to not give up on anything and to just focus. They always told me to do whatever I feel is right, and accomplish that big goal that I've always wanted.
It was a time where everybody in my family was arguing and didn't realize what each other were saying, and I was in the middle of it all. They were saying things that the other person didn't want to hear. While looking back at the situation now, I feel as though I am glad that someone did take the time to be my critic because if it wasn't for that situation then I'll be in a different place where I don't want to be. Having to be in the situation has taught me so much. I do believe that everything happens for a reason.
I actually thought that I was learning something by not being afraid to be in front of a big crowd, but realized I ended up learning something totally different from that. I learned how to being myself in front of people and ended up learning to express how I really feel and standing up for what I like to do.

Politics 2.0
1. The candidates set up the video's by creating their own Youtube channels to upload official campaign videos. The internet in 2008 found that 39% of voters watched campaign related video's online during the election. President Obama received a total of 1.9 million views compared with Sen. John McCain's, which got 1.1 billion views on Youtube. I think Obama used the internet to organize his supporters. I feel as though he plans to continue using online videos. I think President Obama was more successful because of the video's he put online. If it wasn't for the video's on the internet then Obama wouldn't be president, because of the Internet he became president, and if he haven't put those video's up on the Internet then John McCain would be president. But I think it would all be the same as today, if he was.
2. I think it changed how many viewers there were that looked Online. Well I do feel that it is positive for the Americans to have access to candidates 24/7 because they can look on the Internet to see what's going on in the world today. Some people don't watch the news, or television to see what's going on. I think they would rather look on Youtube to find out things more. By the President putting more video's online, i feel as though more people would want to watch him.

Law and Technology
I don't agree with the School regulation laws, because I don't think Employers should be allowed to look at what the employees did or what they said over the internet use. It's their privacy and I think they should do whatever they want. But I do feel that Mr. Chung was wrong for doing what he did. And I think that students should be aware of what to do so that they don't end up like Mr. Chung, and being jobless for the rest of their lives because of that situation. I just think that students should protect themselves of what they say on the Internet. They shouldn't put anything on the Internet that shouldn't be said, or want to be seen by others. I honestly think that if you want to keep your job and want to be able to get a job, don't expose yourself on the Internet knowing that the whole world would see.
I think that Copyright need the use of guidelines, regulations, and laws, because they shouldn't just have the Internet open to everybody. If they don't want them to copy and paste anything from a website to another, then they should have something to block it from people so that anybody won't sue them that did that. I disagree with this one because if they don't want them to copyright, then why let them do it? The article says "If they go to google and use an image on there and copy and paste it on their blogs or websites then they can get sued". I totally agree because they are plagiarizing someone else ideas and images. I think that Copyright should get better laws and regulation, because they don't have anything else to protect their website. If they don't have any protection then people are going to keep doing it and they won't stop until they get in trouble. But I just think that it's not enough laws for copyright, they need more guidelines so people won't keep doing what they're doing and get sued for it.

Ethical Behavior
1. I think that ethics are declaring the American society, because half of the world is having Ethical behavior. They don't care, they just want the work done. Even if you do tell people to stop, they are going to keep doing it until they get what they want even if it does take a long time to do so. Its like a reverse to people, when you tell them they can't, they will. And I believe that. People don't understand what kind of damage they would cause if they plagiarize.
2. I think schools should put a lock on every website that they don't need to be on. That will push them not to do plagiarism. If not, then they are going to keep doing it, and students think that it's okay because the website is free to get on. They don't understand the damage of what can happen to them if they do plagiarize. Honestly, I don't know what to do to improve students not to do this outside of school, because either way it goes, they are going to do. I do understand if they don't understand anything they just look it up things they need help with, but don't copy every word down, because teachers can easily say that you plagiarize because some of the words that are used.

Fear and Policy
1. I believe that examining the fears, i feel that the fear of who was watching is the greatest fear for the Baby Boomer generation, because when the WW2 came they started to aboard the baby's.
2. A. In the Seventh grade student suspended article, i think that the kid that did that was wrong for doing it, but I believe that schools should have no control of what the students are doing closed doors, or outside of school. It was definitely wrong for what they did, but suspending them wasn't a good idea, i would've totally did something different then that. But if he would've made that page on school grounds it would be a whole different story. I think that he shouldn't have been disciplined for doing that, because he didn't do it on school grounds. And i think that the punishment didn't fit the crime.
In the Many employees disciplined for Facebook article, I believe putting everything what people say on Facebook is wrong. But having an employee do it is worst than wrong. I think that company's should have a better policy, then just a regular old one. But i honestly don't think if your an employee and you say something bad or talk about your co-workers that, that should do damage to the company's reputation. I believe that who ever did that is wrong, and they should have been disciplined for even talking about a co-worker, knowing that the co-worker has an Facebook account, and has the co-worker as a friend.I honestly think that being disciplined is a good thing, because they will learn their lesson not to do it again and i do think that the punishment did fit the crime.
In the Teachers disciplined for Facebook use article, I believe that if the teacher is posting something that's not about the school they should not be disciplined. Teachers are just saying what they are feeling, and honestly, i would believe that. But saying how you really feel and taking it out on your students and announcing that you work at that school, they should get disciplined for doing that, but saying that you drink or whatever in your activities that's none of the school's business. If they didn't do it on school grounds then they shouldn't get disciplined for doing it somewhere else. I think that they were still wrong for doing it, but it all comes down to their privacy and what they shouldn't say or post in their blogs or as a status

What if?
I think my life would be horrible without Internet, because the internet is like my life line. That's how I contact and talk to people. Internet is like the biggest part of my life. It's the only thing that keeps me occupied during the days of the week. Since the Internet runs through the Satellite, there would be no phones, TV, radio stations, and no social media, as of face book. Not having Internet would be different because you wouldn’t know what to do in your spare time and if the Internet was to shut down there would be no Skype, or anything that deals with the satellite. If the US shut down the Internet I think the American reaction would be “why did the US have to shut down the Internet”? Many Americans doesn’t know what’s going on. Life without Internet will be a big draft for the American’s. Internet has everything, and if no Internet we have nothing.
