Law and Technology

I don't agree with the School regulation laws, because I don't think Employers should be allowed to look at what the employees did or what they said over the internet use. It's their privacy and I think they should do whatever they want. But I do feel that Mr. Chung was wrong for doing what he did. And I think that students should be aware of what to do so that they don't end up like Mr. Chung, and being jobless for the rest of their lives because of that situation. I just think that students should protect themselves of what they say on the Internet. They shouldn't put anything on the Internet that shouldn't be said, or want to be seen by others. I honestly think that if you want to keep your job and want to be able to get a job, don't expose yourself on the Internet knowing that the whole world would see.

I think that Copyright need the use of guidelines, regulations, and laws, because they shouldn't just have the Internet open to everybody. If they don't want them to copy and paste anything from a website to another, then they should have something to block it from people so that anybody won't sue them that did that. I disagree with this one because if they don't want them to copyright, then why let them do it? The article says "If they go to google and use an image on there and copy and paste it on their blogs or websites then they can get sued". I totally agree because they are plagiarizing someone else ideas and images. I think that Copyright should get better laws and regulation, because they don't have anything else to protect their website. If they don't have any protection then people are going to keep doing it and they won't stop until they get in trouble. But I just think that it's not enough laws for copyright, they need more guidelines so people won't keep doing what they're doing and get sued for it.

Ethical Behavior

1. I think that ethics are declaring the American society, because half of the world is having Ethical behavior. They don't care, they just want the work done. Even if you do tell people to stop, they are going to keep doing it until they get what they want even if it does take a long time to do so. Its like a reverse to people, when you tell them they can't, they will. And I believe that. People don't understand what kind of damage they would cause if they plagiarize.
2. I think schools should put a lock on every website that they don't need to be on. That will push them not to do plagiarism. If not, then they are going to keep doing it, and students think that it's okay because the website is free to get on. They don't understand the damage of what can happen to them if they do plagiarize. Honestly, I don't know what to do to improve students not to do this outside of school, because either way it goes, they are going to do. I do understand if they don't understand anything they just look it up things they need help with, but don't copy every word down, because teachers can easily say that you plagiarize because some of the words that are used.

Fear and Policy

1. I believe that examining the fears, i feel that the fear of who was watching is the greatest fear for the Baby Boomer generation, because when the WW2 came they started to aboard the baby's.

2. A. In the Seventh grade student suspended article, i think that the kid that did that was wrong for doing it, but I believe that schools should have no control of what the students are doing closed doors, or outside of school. It was definitely wrong for what they did, but suspending them wasn't a good idea, i would've totally did something different then that. But if he would've made that page on school grounds it would be a whole different story. I think that he shouldn't have been disciplined for doing that, because he didn't do it on school grounds. And i think that the punishment didn't fit the crime.

In the Many employees disciplined for Facebook article, I believe putting everything what people say on Facebook is wrong. But having an employee do it is worst than wrong. I think that company's should have a better policy, then just a regular old one. But i honestly don't think if your an employee and you say something bad or talk about your co-workers that, that should do damage to the company's reputation. I believe that who ever did that is wrong, and they should have been disciplined for even talking about a co-worker, knowing that the co-worker has an Facebook account, and has the co-worker as a friend.I honestly think that being disciplined is a good thing, because they will learn their lesson not to do it again and i do think that the punishment did fit the crime.

In the Teachers disciplined for Facebook use article, I believe that if the teacher is posting something that's not about the school they should not be disciplined. Teachers are just saying what they are feeling, and honestly, i would believe that. But saying how you really feel and taking it out on your students and announcing that you work at that school, they should get disciplined for doing that, but saying that you drink or whatever in your activities that's none of the school's business. If they didn't do it on school grounds then they shouldn't get disciplined for doing it somewhere else. I think that they were still wrong for doing it, but it all comes down to their privacy and what they shouldn't say or post in their blogs or as a status

What if?

I think my life would be horrible without Internet, because the internet is like my life line. That's how I contact and talk to people. Internet is like the biggest part of my life. It's the only thing that keeps me occupied during the days of the week. Since the Internet runs through the Satellite, there would be no phones, TV, radio stations, and no social media, as of face book. Not having Internet would be different because you wouldn’t know what to do in your spare time and if the Internet was to shut down there would be no Skype, or anything that deals with the satellite. If the US shut down the Internet I think the American reaction would be “why did the US have to shut down the Internet”? Many Americans doesn’t know what’s going on.  Life without Internet will be a big draft for the American’s. Internet has everything, and if no Internet we have nothing.
